Currently available as a seven or six-piece band, they could be described as a "compact" dance band. Small enough to fit into a modest dance hall, yet playing styles of music normally associated with a big-band! They are experienced in playing for dancers of all abilities, and can even arrange for a dance instructor to attend your event and "coach" your guests as required!

It goes without saying that Rob Stevens is an extremely talented professional musician but is also a very keen amateur dancer. This means that The Mad Hatter Band is run by a leader who knows exactly how the music should go! The only problem is that he has to content himself with dancing to recordings of his band because it's not possible to play (and sing) in the band and dance at the same time.
