Trombone, doubling vocals.

Rob is Musical Director The Mad Hatter Bands and leader of The Mad Hatter Band.

Robert studied the trombone with Terry Nagle at the Royal Manchester and Royal Northern Colleges of Music, where he also studied composition with Thomas Pitfield. He was awarded the prestigious Hiles Gold Medal for his outstanding contribution to the colleges Symphony and Opera orchestras.

Playing Tenor, Alto and the devilishly diminutive Soprano Trombone, he has played with many professional symphony and theatre orchestras. He presents trombone recitals and the occasional trombone concerto. He has composed for various instrumental combinations and all of The Mad Hatter Band arrangements are his work, as indeed are some arrangements used by other "Mad Hatter Bands".
