A Dinner-Dance usually takes the form of dining followed immediately by dancing.

Sometimes the dinner is preceded by a drinks reception.

This is a popular format for corporate parties.

Please note that we do not think that a dinner-dance is the ideal solution for wedding parties. If the speeches take too long you may be faced with hardly any time left to get dancing! A better option would be to regard the dancing as a separate event, taking place about half-an-hour or so after the end of the dinner.
