The definition of a good party band is as varied as there are people! The advice that we give people is quite simple:
Book a professional band with a good reputation: All of our musicians are professional players and are totally reliable. To them (and us) music is a business, not a pastime.
Variety is best: Bands who play a variety of styles will go down better with audiences of a wide-age range. We have Jazz bands, Dance bands and Covers bands.
Loud music kills conversation: Parties are social events and conversation is important None of our bands will send you home with ringing ears or make you wake up in the morning with a sore throat from all the shouting!
Jazz Bands: Don't think of jazz bands as being entirely jazz, they often include other music in their programmes that could be described as "POP"!
Dance Bands: Ballroom, Latin & American Dancing and other dance styles. Programmes include some jazz and a mixture of other styles.
Covers Bands: Covers bands play mostly pop and do not usually play jazz (although some do).
